Current shipping situation as of January 22nd, 2021
The current shipping situation is characterized by restrictions on the goods to be transported and the general restrictions imposed by COVID-19.
Keris, knives and keris oil are currently subject to special shipping restrictions. Keris and knives can only be sent with a shipping company in Surabaya, which will hand over the package to Fedex or DHL Express. Parcels to Asia and Europe are usually handed over to Fedex, parcels to Australia and the USA to DHL Express. The shipping costs are stored in the shop. Since the shipping costs are calculated in 0.5 kg steps, when ordering knives it is advantageous to order two knives or a multiple of them in order to keep the costs per piece as low as possible. Keris oil is currently completely excluded from shipping because it is subject to hazard group 10 and there is no corresponding MSDS. We hope that when COVID-19 is over, we will be able to send it again with the Indonesian Post. You are welcome to be put on a waiting list. Please write us an email at info@keriscollection.com.
The shipping of all other articles has been severely restricted since March 23, 2020. The Indonesian Post currently only offers its services such as registered mail, air freight - parcels and air freight - parcels in 8 Asian countries and the USA. The current list can be found at https://booking.posindonesia.co.id/posint/. In section 1 you will find the countries to which shipping is possible and where there are only minor delays. In section 2 you will find the countries to which shipping is possible but there are major delays. Section 3 lists the countries to which shipping is only possible with EMS. Section 4 indicates the countries that are completely excluded from shipping. We are looking to offer a country-specific, cheaper solution through the shipping agent Expedito (www.expedito.co.id). In international shipping, the shipping price is calculated either according to the actual or volume weight, whichever is greater. Usually the volume weight in cm is calculated as follows: length (+ 1 cm) x side (+ 1 cm) x height (+1 cm). As a rule of thumb, heavy items such as books are calculated based on actual weight and light, large items based on dimensional weight. Of course we offer combined shipping. This means that we determine a special price especially for the content of your package. E.g. for the krisses and knives this is already stored in the shop.
We pay the shipping costs in our currency IDR and there may be deviations in the payment in € or $ due to the currency. In the shipping costs, we also take into account the costs arising from the selected payment method.
In general it can be said that the normal shipping costs from Indonesia to other countries are relatively high. The shipping costs of EMS are based on the prices of DHL Express and Fedex, as these are charged with the transport and delivery to the customer. Unfortunately, on January 1st, 2021, these prices were again partially not insignificantly increased. At Fedex is currently z. B. only the expensive priority shipping is possible, economy shipping is b.a.w. exposed. As long as COVID-19 is not over, prices are not easing.
